The app claims I have a notification but there isn’t one and there is no way to clear the notification flag.

A few days ago a notification appeared on the app. I declined all cookies but the red ball is still there and I can’t figure out why and how to disappear it. I suppose I could just delete it for the next two years.
If you’re smart enough to find anything about the Paralympics on this ridiculous website, please get in touch immediately. Thank you.
Tinha todas as programações e o quadro de medalhas sem nenhum erro
This app was informative and helped remind me when the US had an event! I think the app should undergo a little bit of a re-design to make it more user friendly, especially the events tab. However, overall the app was great thank you!
Nintendo games were fast more user friendly and fun
For fans in another time zone, sometimes we want to check the schedule of the day when we wake up and *NOT* see the results posted. It should be simple to hide results. NFL app has this
And the ranking by gold medals rather than overall total count is misleading. Two thumbs down.
The app has much to be desired for with underperformed and sometimes unnerving results. Seemed like the app was steering towards certain commercial purposes above any seamless avenues for journalistic purpose or respectful adornment of athletic and/or artistic achievement of individuals or worthy analysis of competent content. Annoyingly frustrating.
Nearly impossible to use. Great idea but googling is a much easier method to see information about the Olympics than this app. It’s crowded, unintuitive, and missing basic features. The fact that you can search for countries and their athletes is ridiculous. Where is my Bolivia? Horrid app for a horrid competition.
Updating my previous negative review. Not sure why it lost everything I saved the first day, but it has worked flawlessly since. Loved getting the reminders when events I was interested in were starting and the app always gave the alert with enough time to get the TV turned on and tuned in. I wish I could mark more than one country as a favorite. Most of us have mixed heritage or allegiance these days.
How many times should we update this app during the Olympics. It’s already the third time for me.
🤔
Once you figure out the icons and how to filter this app makes it so easy to customize the past outcomes and the upcoming schedule. Well done.
Why on earth does this stupid app need 3 mandatory updates all within the 2-week span that the Olympics run! What an annoyance. And it’s a pretty simple app too - doesn’t even have much complex about it that warrants all the mandatory updates. It won’t even let me use it without downloading the update. Disappointed
I just loaded this app 20 min ago and I’ve had to remove the app twice because it freezes up and there’s nothing you can do. Very disappointing. IOC quality.
The only good thing for ths app is the medal count… everything else is trash
All I wanted to see was who won what medals. Instead you have to go all over the place to find it. How about show who won instead of some meet the athletes.
It is a shame for olympics committee that I can’t have access to this app from Iran, which is against human rights and against the spirit of the olympics, totally not cool! 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
unable to run on iPhone 12
Can’t believe how hard it is to get simple info out of this app, just deleted it in frustration over the top banners popping in and out making simple scrolling impossible
Mine hasn’t worked for at least 2 days. Says there’s a “problem.” And I did the upgrade with the same result.
This app has a lot of useful information. I can see this being a helpful app if you attend the games live but for people at home who want to be notified before their favorite even starts, this is not the app for you. You would think this app would do the bare minimum and remind you when your favorite events start but it doesn’t. It only notifies you when your country has a gold medal final event. I want to watch the heat 1, heat 2, quarterfinals, semifinals, etc. but I can’t even get notified for those events. Pretty pointless app if you are a user sitting at home which would be a majority of people using this app so pretty pointless. You can do everything this app does if you just google it. Save your space and avoid this app.
This app was great for London 2012, and so-so for Rio 2016, it was a dumpster fire for Tokyo 2020, and only showing signs of getting worse (UPDATE: they succeeded in making it worse for Paris 2024) It’s sluggish on good days, and useless pretty often. The interface itself isn’t very unintuitive, and lacks a lot of search features and sort/filter features that it used to have. If the ability so sort/filter by event exists, it is impossible to find. The amount of data mined from me as a user nowhere near equates to the lackluster performance I get from this junk app...especially now that they want you to have an account. Probably the most frustrating for this particular round has already been mentioned numerous times: no landscape mode. The first time I opened it, I thought everyone was crazy because landscape worked for me. It was a fluke, as it hasn’t worked since.
Not easy to understand and view daily competitions sketchual
Doesn’t give credit for silver or bronze medals. Totally inappropriate
Videos spend more time on useless info and ads. Half hour video might get 5 minutes worth watching. Sloppy controls to use the app and move thru videos. And that’s just the Olympics. No other shows are worth watching let alone the time to get to content
Assuming this was developed by some unpaid intern for a class project. This can’t be the best app that a multibillion dollar organization can come up with. Why isn’t there an option to just look at the calendar for a specific sport? Why the scroll mechanism? Absolutely terrible.
To do anything or view anything but a few headlines and the medal count you have to set up an account.
The front pages load but not much else does. I can see the schedule but when I go to event details to see results, pools, brackets, etc nothing loads beyond the index page. These same links are hit or miss on the website. App appears to be an exact, less functional, copy of said website. It's likely just a one site browser cosplaying as an app.
It should receive no stars. Not friendly, no highlights, restricted to geographical areas. Never seen a worst app than this.
I would give this app zero stars if I could. I’m deleting the app because it’s so bad. Freezes constantly! Makes suggestions to “add” events but doesn’t give a way to cancel or go back so your only option is to shut the app down or add a sport you’re not interested in. Click on an athlete and the next page gives you a little information about them but once again you are stuck with no way to go back or close the window. So frustrating!! Not intuitive at all. I’ll just use google or the nbc website to get info and schedules.
I wanted to look up results from a specific sport and after clicking around for 10 minutes I had to select each day and it was not useful. Better off just searching through the internet.
This app is not terribly user friendly, nor does it provide a lot of variations. For example, I have not been able to search by nation to find an athlete. I have tried searching for events I’m watching on television but can’t find it. If I search the previous day, it doesn’t always work. And ads, good grief. I don’t think I’ve ever seen the words NBC or Omega so often in such a small space! Makes me want to switch networks and get a Timex! Hopefully the app will have improvements for the next Olympiad.
What a waste of time. App just spins and spins and spins wo ever loading anything even remotely useful.
I wish it would stop sending me notifications with the results of events I haven’t had a chance to watch yet!
information not easy to find and whole app is a mess.
The UI is awful. It take 5 min just to find a sport you want.
Still unable to see who the athletes competing on finals are for several games. We are a day before the women’s gymnastics individual finals and the list of athletes is still not there!
😖
2024 and the devs of the Olympics app still haven't built in a toggle to disable scores. The one thing this app was built to do—help you plan your event viewing schedule—cannot be used because it spoils results. It lets you disable results for push notifications, but that also disables event reminders, which is actually a useful function. This really is a useless app. Don't bother installing.
Not a good layout of results. Have to switch pages to see results instead of loading inline.
Maybe I’m odd, but what I want most is to easily access a schedule and results. It doesn’t appear that I can do that with this app, unless, maybe, I register and give them my information which I don’t really want to do. Using this app makes me feel like I’m being used, not that I am being served.
Navigating this app is a pain. Too difficult to find information you’re looking for, and when you just want to go back to the previous page, it takes you all the way back to the main page for that event? Also, trying to exit the in-app browser after clicking embedded links doesn’t work half the time, so you have to close the app and start all over again.
So I downloaded and tried this app on an iPad Pro with an M1 chip, and guess what_ the app *refuses* to be used in landscape mode (with the Magic Keyboard attached), it reverts always to portrait mode, which is pretty bad as I cannot charge my iPad and use this app at the same time. I’m also forced to detach the keyboard and place the iPad in portrait mode. On top of this, for some reason some content shows up in Spanish and some in English, what gives? I also find the interface extremely confusing, too over-complicated with too many options. Want to follow a specific country? Tough luck using the search box to do so. You’d also think that clicking on a country’s name or flag on the main app page would take to that country, but tough luck again. And how about streaming the events life? Touch luck again, you need to use a local sponsor/affiliate to do so.
Not very impressed with this app at all. You have to create an account and then receive a bunch of unnecessary and unrelated marketing emails etc. Anoyying. On top of that, it is very hard to find and follow the countries and sports you are interested in. 👎🏼
I had to drip my money down the drain
The app going into the Paris Olympics added little value, despite the vast amount of data that fans could have benefitted from. When I saw that there was an app update today, I hoped that things would improve. Instead, the Paris Olympics app gets stuck 90+% of the way through updating. I have a 1G home network and all late model devices, so the problem is not on my end. I’m deleting the app and using my other Olympic alerts, live broadcast and streaming services.
All I want is to be able to filter each day’s events showing just my favourite events. How is this so difficult?
